$26.09 per hour base rate to start. The position is eligible for the Provincial Wage Enhancement Grant of an additional $2.00/hour, making the rate $28.09/hr. This position is eligible for an additional wage enhancement grants as applicable. Benefits, health days and professional development are available after successful 3 month probationary period.

Hours:
Full time, 35 hours per week. Additional hours required as needed. Weekly schedules will include a minimum of 3 split shifts, up to 5 split shifts based on the program needs each week. Evenings may be required for meetings, special events, orientations, etc. Team Leaders are required to cover for staff absences.

Description:
This position is responsible for mentoring and supervising staff in the planning and implementation of a high quality, developmentally appropriate program that enhances children’s development in all domains and in accordance with program philosophies and legislation requirements. They act as a role model and provide an emotionally supportive environment with ongoing support and guidance. The position evaluates the program and staff, ensuring compliance with the Child Care & Early Years Act and OCCC program standards.
This position requires frequent travel across Oxford County to School Age program locations.
Qualifications:
ECE diploma and registration in good standing with the College of ECE
Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience, 3 years preferred
Demonstrated Leadership abilities
Current First Aid and CPR Level C
Current Food Handler's Certificate
Clean driving record with own vehicle and appropriate insurance
Skills:
Knowledge, understanding and practical application of How Does Learning Happen? And other provincial pedagogical documents
Meet and maintain all requirements of the Child Care & Early Years Act, 2014
Strong knowledge of child development, special needs, behavior supports, nutrition and community resources, keeps current
Organized with excellent interpersonal skills
Superior observation and documentation skills
Strong mentoring and coaching abilities
Collaborative communication skills
Computer skills - MS Office, cloud based applications
