Rate of Pay:
$21.36 per hour for RECE, $19.46 for other qualifications. Both groups are eligible for the Provincial Wage Enhancement Grant of an additional $2.00/hour. RECEs are eligible for an additional $1/hour under CWELCC. Both groups are eligible for benefits, health days and professional development after successful 3 month probationary period.

This position requires availability for a split shift both before and after school. Hours are from 6:45AM - 9:00AM and 3:15PM - 5:30PM with additional prep and cleaning hours. Full time hours on PD days, March break and throughout the summer.

Description:

The School Age Facilitator plans, implements and participates in the development of programming to enhance children’s development in all domains in accordance with program philosophies and legislative requirements. Regular and ongoing communication and consultation with the Supervisor, co-workers and families is key. The Facilitator provides a safe and emotionally supportive environment and performs all administrative tasks including on-site licensing.


Qualifications:

  • ECE diploma and registration with the College of ECE's (preferred), CYW, BEd, Child and Family Studies graduates also considered

  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C

  • Current Food Handler Certificate

  • Clean criminal reference check with vulnerable persons screening

Skills:

  • Organized with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong parent and child engagement skills

  • Able to plan and implement programming for children ages 0-12

  • Document and reflect using How Does Learning Happen? as a guide

  • Able to make thoughtful decisions

  • Regular lifting of up to 40lbs is required
