Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Engaging Learning Experiences: Craft and execute developmentally appropriate activities and experiences that align with the children's interests, ensuring a dynamic and fun educational environment.

  • Nurture Healthy Self-Development: Foster positive interactions and effective behaviour guidance that empower children to develop self-regulation and robust self-esteem.

  • Safety First: Prioritize the safety and well-being of the children and their surroundings, maintaining a secure and hazard-free environment.

  • Effective Communication: Cultivate professional, supportive, and effective communication with parents, families, external agencies, and your team members, fostering collaboration and trust.

  • Exceptional Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in all situations, maintaining a supportive and positive approach to interactions.

  • Compliance and Excellence: Contribute to the ongoing success of the centre by upholding centre policies and adhering to Ministry standards, ensuring the highest quality of care and education.

  • Community Involvement: Play a key role in promoting our centre within the local community, emphasizing our dedication to early childhood development.

  • Government Wage Enhancement Grant: An additional $2 per hour is included in your wage, thanks to a Government Wage Enhancement Grant. Please note wage will increase to $23.86 with government agreement.


Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience working in childcare (preferred)

  • Registered in good standing with the College of ECE (required)

  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check (preferred)

  • First Aid CPR- Level C (required)
