Description:
We're looking for a passionate and dedicated person with a formal ECE education to join our team.
As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. You will play a crucial role in their development and help them build a strong foundation for future learning.
As an Early Childhood Educator Supervisor, you will be responsible for the same duties as the Early Childhood Educator role, while also being responsible for office duties (i.e. answering emails).
Duties:
Educate and engage children in age-appropriate activities to promote their cognitive, social, and emotional development
Create and implement lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel safe, valued, and respected
Knowledge on how to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents or guardians as needed
Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to plan and coordinate activities
Maintain accurate records of attendance, behaviour, and developmental milestones
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom
Skills:
Strong organizational skills to effectively plan lessons, manage classroom materials, and maintain records
Proficient in English (French proficiency is a plus)
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Effective communication skills to interact with children, parents or guardians, and colleagues
Understanding of special education needs and ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly
Qualifications:
Early Childhood Education Diploma
1 year of supervisory experience
