Hours:
Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Additional hours required as needed. Shifts will vary and will include split shifts. Evenings and weekends may be required for meetings, special events, etc.

Description:
This position supports staff with the planning, development and implementation of programming to enhance the children’s development and early learning experiences. This position will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the centre which includes but is not limited to: building relationships with families and children, supervising staff, and the overall well-being of the centre. This position requires strong professional mentoring and administrative skills to maintain all licensing requirements through the Child Care & Early Years Act.
Qualifications:
ECE diploma and registration in good standing with the College of ECE's
Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience, 3 years preferred
Demonstrated Leadership abilities
Current First Aid and CPR Level C
Current Food Handler's Certificate
Clean driving record with own vehicle and appropriate insurance
Skills:
Knowledge, understanding and practical application of How Does Learning Happen? And other provincial pedagogical documents
Meet and maintain all requirements of the Child Care & Early Years Act, 2014 and directives from the Ministry of Education, Public Health and OCCC policy
Strong knowledge of child development, special needs, behaviour supports, nutrition and community resources; keeps current
Organized with excellent interpersonal skills
Able to set and meet goals with regular reflection and evaluation
Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions with follow-through and consistency
Commitment to professional expectations and ability to support their achievement in others
Superior observation and documentation skills
Strong mentoring and coaching abilities
Communication skills including building open, collaborative relationships, offering presentations and workshops, providing feedback and reflective conversation
Computer skills – MS Office, cloud based applications
