RECE: Starting at $23.86*/hour ($26.00*/hour upon completion of probationary period)

*Rate of pay includes the Provincial Wage Enhancement (and CWELCC Funding where applicable)

Non- RECE: Starting at $21.67*/hour ($26.00*/hour upon completion of probationary period)

*Rate of pay includes the Provincial Wage Enhancement

Description:

Good Beginnings is a non-profit organization with a Board of Directors comprised of parents/guardians and community representatives, who are committed to providing high quality early learning and child care programs to the children and families of Oxford County since 1986. It is our mission to be a leader in the provision of quality child care programs, which are affordable and accessible to families in Woodstock and the surrounding communities, delivered by professional and caring Educators.

The successful candidate will provide child care for children (3.8 years to 12 years of age) in a group setting under the direction of Good Beginnings. They will follow the Program Statement, confidentiality, and the policies established by the Board of Directors, and regulations under the Child Care and Early Years Act. They will also ensure that they are integrating Good Beginnings’ Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging values into their environment.


Qualifications:

We are seeking to fill these Before and After School Age Designated Educator positions with reliable, friendly, energetic, and engaged individuals. Prior to starting the position, the successful candidates will be required to comply with all applicable licensing requirements. This includes;

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child & Youth Worker, Recreation and Leisure, Educational Support Worker, Elementary Education-Primary division, Educational Assistant, Social Service Worker or Developmental Service Worker

  • A member in good standing of the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators (if applicable)

  • Standard First Aid, including Infant and Child CPR Certificate (Level C)

  • Current Police Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check, acceptable to Good Beginnings

  • Up-to-date Immunization Records required by the Ministry of Education and Southwestern Public Health

  • Safe Food Handling Certificate
