Rate of Pay:
$26.62/hour to start, with increase after successful probationary period

Start Date:
October 2024

End Date:
August 2025 (potential for continuation)

Hours:
35 hours per week

Description:

Good Beginnings is a non-profit organization with a Board of Directors comprised of parents/guardians and community representatives, who are committed to providing high quality early learning and child care programs to the children and families of Oxford County since 1986. It is our mission to be a leader in the provision of quality child care programs, which are affordable and accessible to families in Woodstock and the surrounding communities, delivered by professional and caring Educators.

The Diverse Needs Facilitator provides support and resources to licensed child care and community programs throughout Oxford County. This individual works directly with Educators in a unique and collaborative manner that supports an inclusive child centered approach. These supports are provided through an “Equity Lens” that is reflective of the diverse needs of children and families within our communities. Access to reliable transportation is required for efficient travel within the community.


Qualifications:

We are seeking to fill this position with a passionate and engaged individual. The successful candidate will be required to possess the following qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education

  • Current Member in good standing with College of Early Childhood Educators

  • University Degree or College Diploma/Certificate specializing in children’s behavioral studies, or Resource Consulting would be considered a strong asset

  • Minimum of three years of experience working with children 0-12 years of age with diverse needs, families, and community in early learning settings
