Facilitated By: Strive Resource Centre Specialists, Hadil Alshaghnoubi, RECE & Sara D'Alessandro, RECE
Join us for part one of a two-part Professional Learning series about the ECE Professional Resource Centre. Hadil and Sara, the Resource Centre's Resource Specialists, will run you through the ins and outs of creating a Resource Centre Membership and how to use MyTurn, the platform used to house the online catalogue. MyTurn is designed to support your registration, login and reservation process on the ECE Professional Resource Centre platform. They will show you how to get set up and borrow resources online and will provide an introduction to the plethora of resources available to support and extend your practice.
Additionally, during the session, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A with Hadil and Sara to gain a better understanding of how to navigate the Resource Centre platform and make the most of the resources available. This session is perfect for early years professionals (including students!) looking to enhance their practice and gain access to a wealth of resources that will support them in their work. Don't miss out!
Hadil (She/Her) (on the left) joined the Strive team just over a year ago as a Resource Specialist. She is a Registered Early Childhood Educator and graduated from the Early Childhood Leadership program at Fanshawe College in 2015. She has been in the early years sector for nearly 10 years and has had the opportunity to work in childcare centers as well as teach as a kindergarten teacher in UAE. She has always had a passion for working with children and is forever grateful for all the encouragement she had from family and teachers to pursue a field in Childhood Education. Other than her big passion for children, her favourite things to do are; spending time with family, traveling, watching sunrises and sunsets, and walking on the beach.
Sara D'Alessandro (She/Her) (on the right) is a Registered Early Childhood Educator with a degree in Early Childhood Leadership and a post-graduate certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science. She has worked in different capacities in the early years field for several years and is passionate about advocacy for the early years sector. Sara joined the Strive team a year ago as a Resource Specialist, previously working as a toddler educator in a Child Care centre. She firmly believes in the importance of being in touch with your inner child when working in the early years because, as educators, we learn alongside children. Sara thinks the ECE Professional Resource Centre is the perfect place for educators to get inspired and back in touch with their inner child with all the beautiful provocations available.
