Facilitated By: Alexa Rae Schiefer (She/Her)

Part One: Navigating Compassion Fatigue: Strategies for Renewed Well-Being

In a work environment marked by consistent challenges, exhaustion, and overwhelming moments, the early years' sector can feel heavy on the heart. It's time to discover how to shift and re-establish a connection with our workplace. Join this workshop to explore what compassion fatigue, burnout, and vicarious trauma look like so we can work to get unstuck from their effects.

You'll leave this workshop with:

  • An overview of compassion fatigue, burnout, and vicarious trauma

  • Validation with your struggles

  • Inspiration to start living a life where you are thriving

  • Practical strategies to utilize in your unique work environment to build resilience

Disclaimer: This session will touch on topics that may be triggering to some folks. Mental health supports will be available.

Alexa Rae Schiefer (She-fer), pronouns: (she/her) is a keynote speaker and change maker who wants to have a positive impact on as many people as she can in her lifetime. She believes every person has the ability to feel worthy if they are just given the opportunity. She turned a life of trauma and struggles into a life full of wisdom, self-love, and self-worth.

She is a Mental Health and Substance Use Graduate Professor and has over ten years of experience working as a mental health nurse and clinician in various areas. She worked frontline for years and then transitioned into clinical education and leadership roles.

Alexa left formal healthcare to start her own private practice where she helps women heal from trauma wounds and find their true self worth, share her wisdom as a speaker, and is the host of the podcast called “Authentically You”.

She holds various therapeutic certifications and believes that healing comes from changing both the story we thought we needed to live by and learning to regulate our nervous systems in, what can be, a chaotic world. She has lived through many challenges personally and is here to share strategies that helped her evolve past them in hopes you can too.
