Facilitated By: Strive Resource Centre Specialists, Hadil Alshaghnoubi, RECE & Sara D'Alessandro, RECE
The Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) program is an ongoing professional learning program that is grounded in self-reflection, self-directed learning, and the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
The CPL Program is designed to support RECEs to:
Enhance their knowledge and skills
Strengthen their professional judgment
Improve their practice throughout their career
It also communicates to families, colleagues, and the public that RECEs are members of a distinct profession that demonstrates accountability, maintains public trust, remains current in practice, and values ongoing professional learning.
As regulated professionals, RECEs are required to engage in professional learning.
At this hybrid reoccurring support network, you will have the chance to gather with other early years professionals, ask questions, share ideas, and chat about all things CPL.
Hadil (She/Her) (on the left) joined the Strive team just over a year ago as a Resource Specialist. She is a Registered Early Childhood Educator and graduated from the Early Childhood Leadership program at Fanshawe College in 2015. She has been in the early years sector for nearly 10 years and has had the opportunity to work in childcare centers as well as teach as a kindergarten teacher in UAE. She has always had a passion for working with children and is forever grateful for all the encouragement she had from family and teachers to pursue a field in Childhood Education. Other than her big passion for children, her favourite things to do are; spending time with family, traveling, watching sunrises and sunsets, and walking on the beach.
Sara D'Alessandro (She/Her) (on the right) is a Registered Early Childhood Educator with a degree in Early Childhood Leadership and a post-graduate certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science. She has worked in different capacities in the early years field for several years and is passionate about advocacy for the early years sector. Sara joined the Strive team a year ago as a Resource Specialist, previously working as a toddler educator in a Child Care centre. She firmly believes in the importance of being in touch with your inner child when working in the early years because, as educators, we learn alongside children. Sara thinks the ECE Professional Resource Centre is the perfect place for educators to get inspired and back in touch with their inner child with all the beautiful provocations available..
