Welcome to Leading Inspired Learning: A Strive Podcast! In this episode, Ally is joined by a team of Orchard Park Early Learning Centre toddler educators, Lindsay Lamb, RECE, and Tracy Small, RECE, and their centre director, Lauren Goossens, RECE. Inspired by Ally’s Extreme Makeover: Classroom Edition professional learning session, this team undertook a big change in their space. In this episode, they share the challenges, triumphs, and reflections through the process. Listen, learn, reflect, enjoy!

Guest Bio

Lindsay Lamb (she/her), RECE, always knew she wanted to have a career working with children and fulfilled her dream in 2016 when she graduated from the Early Childhood Education program at Fanshawe College in St. Thomas. Lindsay has been fortunate enough to work at the Early Learning Centre - Orchard Park location for the length of her career. She takes such pride in creating relationships with the children and families who come into her care and she looks forward to continuing to do so in years ahead.

In her free time, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family that consists of her partner, their 2 children, 2 dogs and 1 cat. Her favourite place to be is anywhere near water. It brings Lindsay such a calm that she often needs in this fast-paced life.

Guest Bio

Tracy Small (she/her), RECE, has been working in childcare for 20+ years. She loves to bake cakes and cupcakes, as well as spending time with her four children. Tracy ran her own home care for 10 years. She has been working with Early Learning Centre for 12 years and have worked with all age groups, but she has been in the Toddler classroom for the last nine years.

Lauren Goossens (she/her), RECE, is likely a familiar voice (and perhaps even a familiar face)! Lauren has joined us on the podcast a few times already - first in Ep: 6 - Creating a Culture of Relationships, which she was the star of, and then as a guest with Cindy Green and the late Diane Kashin in Ep: 17 - Cosy Cottage Conversations.

Lauren is the Director at Orchard Park Early Learning Centre. Lauren is incredibly passionate about Early Childhood Education and Care and extends those passions to advocacy and community development.
