Description:
Montessori Academy of London seeks an enthusiastic, highly qualified applicant to fill an Elementary French teaching opportunity for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a full-time permanent position with a start date of Monday, Aug. 25, 2025. (If the successful candidate could spend some time in the classroom in June, that would be ideal but not required.)
Qualifications:
Applicants should have:
An undergraduate degree in French or high level of French fluency.
Experience teaching children – preferably Elementary level.
Classroom management skills.
Experience with curriculum development (plan and develop engaging lessons and activities that meet the needs of all students).
Montessori Teaching Certification – preferable but not essential.
Maturity, responsibility, a friendly demeanor, patience.
A passion for working with children and encouraging their growth and independence.
A valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC).
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Computer skills: experience with Google for Education; online report cards; etc.
Canadian citizenship or appropriate work Visa or permit.
