Often times there is no established pattern to work hours, however, the majority of our programs operate from 6:45am – 9:00am, and 3:00pm – 6:00pm so your shift will be a split shift within those hours. During times that we offer additional programs, (such as Non Instructional Days, Summer Care, March Break) you may be scheduled to work a full day. Please note that due to the nature of this position, we do require reliable access to transportation.

children. This includes the daily cleaning and sanitizing of the kitchen as well as hand washing all dishes. The cook ensures food inventory levels by ordering from suppliers while maintaining a pre-approved budget. The
individual working in the position will move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, remain in a stationary position during the shift, and move at a pace that meets established timelines.

Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre (SOAHAC) is a diverse, multiservice Indigenous health and wellness agency, who has recently embarked on a new initiative and extended its services in the field of early learning and child care. Guided and supported by the Journey Together Indigenous planning committee, SOAHAC is the operator and licensee of Nshwaasnangong.

Position Summary
Nshwaasnangong’s team of RECEs and Educational Assistants collaborate together to provide a culturally rich, inclusive early learning environment and report directly to the Child Care Manager. The Supply Educator fills in for team members who are unable to report to work. The Supply Educator is a kind and forward-thinking individual who champions the revitalization of Indigenous languages and cultures within the early years. They will assist with the implementation of a program that is reflective of How Does Learning Happen: Ontario’s pedagogy for the Early Years and falls within the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 and aligns with Nshwaasnangong’s Program Statement.
Please note that this is a casual, on-call position. This position may be required to work 7-35 hours per week, based on need.
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education diploma, OR, currently working towards Early Childhood Education diploma, OR relevant education and/or experience
- A demonstrated commitment to language revitalization and reclaiming cultural identities, experience as an Indigenous language learner an asset
- Knowledge of the Indigenous histories, cultures, creation stories, and language of the Indigenous population in the London area

Whitehills Childcare Association is looking for a Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our Before and After team at Oxbow Public School in Ilderton. This position works with children 4-12yrs and plans and implements inquiry and play-based programs in a team-focused environment. Candidates must have current First Aid and CPR-c training and a Vulnerable Sector Check. In addition, candidates must have a driver’s licence and own a reliable vehicle. Qualifications:
