Position:                              Assistant Centre Administrator

Reports To:                         Program Manager

Position Purpose:                           

The Assistant Centre Administrator will be responsible for assisting the Centre Administrator with the operational and administrative management of the Children’s Centre, while providing leadership and supervision for Educators and supporting the health and safety of the Centre, which contributes to the success and long term sustainability of Milestones Children’s Centre as a community partner and model for child care.  All aspects of the Assistant Centre Administrator position will be performed while working within the framework of the vision, mission and value statements and the policies and procedures of Milestones Children’s Centre, the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, the Child Care Centre Licensing Manual and How Does Learning Happen?.    

Key Responsibilities:The Assistant Centre Administrator has accountabilities in the areas of Administration, Program Management, Mentoring and Coaching, Human Resources, Finance, Teamwork and Communication, Community Relations, Professional Learning, Health and Safety and Information Technology.

 

 

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a Child Care Centre (preference will be given to candidates with supervisory/administrative experience in a Child Care setting)

Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre – Language Consultant: Anishinaabemowin (Family Centre)

Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre (SOAHAC) is a diverse, multiservice Indigenous health and wellness agency, who has recently embarked on a new initiative and extended its services in the field of early learning and child care.

The Language Consultant will support the new Nshwaasnangong Child Care and Family Centre.  The Language Consultant will engage and listen to the local urban Indigenous community and service providers and support the revitalization of Indigenous languages and cultures in the early years. This individual will also contribute to the communications work for Nshwaasnangong Child Care and Family Centre.

This part-time position working towards full-time @ 25 hours (5 days) per week leading to full-time (35 hours/week). Salary is subject to experience. Optional pension (HOOPP) included.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-year Early Childhood Education Diploma or equivalent and a membership in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience working with children and supporting families.
  • Current First Aid and CPR with infant and Toddler (C) required.
  • Child Care Administration Certificate or equivalent is an asset.
  • Experience in Management/Administration is an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operation of the Centre in compliance with the Provincial Regulations and with the policies established by Little Lambs Board of Directors.
  • Maintain and update all relevant records related to employee and family files in accordance with applicable confidentiality legislation.

Oxford Community Child Care – School Age Program Facilitators

We are recruiting for awesome Registered Early Childhood Educators for our before and after school programs in Ingersoll, Thamesford, Drumbo, and Embro, Ontario!

These positions are for 25-26 hours per week, split shift, with full days on PD Days, March Break and Summer.

Qualifications:

You have:

  • Registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators (preferred)
  • CYW, BEd, Child and Family Studies graduates also considered
  • Experience with children from 3.8 to 12 or are looking to start your career with a great agency
  • Current First Aid and CPR Level C
  • Able to work split shifts – 7am to school start and school end to 5:30pm
  • School Age positions work full days on PD Days, March Break and Summers
  • Able to lift a minimum of 40lbs
  • New graduates welcome!

It would be great if you also had (but it’s not necessary to start!):

  • Current Food Handler’s Certificate
  • Recent Professional Learning
