Hi there!
We are currently trying to get our summer menu ready to post. Up until this point we have gone to the grocery store to by everything, with the exception of our produce which we order from a company that delivers to us. At our last network meeting, I had asked who everyone uses to deliver their food so that my centre could look into it. Flanagans came recommended so we have been looking at their price list but after adding up one week of our groceries we are over budget.
I am wondering if you would all mind sharing how many children you feed at your centre & your budget per week? I am wondering if we just aren’t budgeting enough money, or perhaps Flanagans is too expensive for what we are looking for.
For those that use a company like Flanagans, do you also have to go to the grocery store to get some of your items? Is there some items you will buy yourself because they are too expensive through the company you use? (Ex: Milk).
Thank you for reading, I look forward to your replies :).
Hi Amanda,
I am currently the facilitator of our group, the Cooks and Dietary Planners Network Group.
I was just checking to see how active this group has been. I am sorry that you did not receive any replies. Unfortunately, I can’t help with this type of question.
Our next meeting is next Monday May 27, 2019 2-3:30 pm at Family Centre Fanshawe 1800 Cedarhollow Blvd. I can remind the group about this platform to share and obtain information and hopefully you can attend and get some answers to your questions.
Thanks
Ginette Blake RD
