In this session, Jamie Fenton from the London Children’s Museum, will remind us of how to put play back into art by taking simple ideas and going beyond paper and pen. We will explore the creative benefits of Process vs Product as well as how documentation of this work can be just as special and impactful as a take home craft.
There is so much to discover as we dive into the why’s of creative expression and start getting comfortable with making a mess. Jamie will share tangible ideas that you can take back and adapt for your play and learning environments.

Jamie Fenton is the Programs & Services Manager at the London Children’s Museum. Jamie has a significant background in child development and in delivering effective and engaging hands-on programs for young people. Jamie has more than 15 years of experience designing and developing child-centred programs, building relationships with community partners, and managing community engagement initiative. At the CM, she oversees public programs, visitor services, outreach programs, day camps, and staff training and development.
While we welcome participation from outside of the Early Years sector, please note these learning opportunities are intended for early years professionals and the early years lens will be emphasized.
