Facilitated by: Jenny Brit, Outdoor Play Specilist for the YMCA

This opportunity invites educators who have a passion or want to learn more about outdoor play to come together and collaboratively reflect on the adventures and challenges that are unique to engaging with children in outdoor spaces.

Participants will share experiences, ideas and resources, offer one another support, listen, and ask thoughtful questions. At registration, you will be asked to share some ideas, topics, or questions that you would like to share. Conversations emerging from this group will be ongoing.

This month join us at The Wortley YMCA location for an outdoor area site tour! Site Tours take place in diverse early childhood settings across the community and will demonstrate various ways in which this sector observes, studies, reflects, plans, collaborates, and documents our lives with children. We hope for participants to step outside of their centre and organization for a tour and meaningful dialogue with early years colleagues.

The success of a Community of Practice relies on shared reflection and the open exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge between members. Please come prepared to engage in meaningful conversation.

*** This session will be hosted in-person outdoors at the Wortley YMCA location (165 Elmwood Ave E, London).
