General Overview of Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all general finance and accounting operations ensuring efficient systems and monitoring including creation of standards that meet the ongoing and future needs of the organization in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and organization policy
- Prepare monthly, year-to-date and annual financial statements and statistical reports
- Prepare and submit the annual charity return
- Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and work with the external auditors
- Monitor, track and report on any grants and/or funding
- Process bi-weekly payroll, process and submit statutory and benefits remittances on time
- Administration of employee benefits including payroll RRSP’s and WSIB reports
- Record donations and issue donation receipts in accordance with CRA guidelines
- Manage the acquisition and recording of capital assets
- Facilities management and maintaining list of approved vendors
- Build efficient finance team by coaching and developing others
